You are away from the city light obstruction sand at Chena Lake you are in one of the prime Northern Lights viewing locations in Interior Alaska. This special tour is ideal to add diversity to your northern lights viewing experience, and the memories you will share for a life time! A wood fired stove will keep you toasty warm (75F-85F; +25ºC) inside our custom wooden cabins. The cabins are solar powered and underwater camera equipped.
During the tour your guide will cut fishing holes through the ice, induct you on traditional ice fishing techniques, process the catch, and cook it inside our cabin into a delicious fish dinner with sides such as gourmet potatoes, and fresh salad. When the Aurora shows itself on a clear sub-arctic night you will be able to go take a break from fishing, go outside, and observe or capture this phenomenon with your camera. You can also view the lights from inside the cabins. Your guide is happy to assist you with their knowledge about the Aurora.
