“AURORA ICE” –ICE FISHING-NORTHERN LIGHTS VIEWING & DINNER TOUR at Chena Lake, North Pole, Alaska!
A delicious FISH DINNER while ICE FISHING under the NORTHERN LIGHTS!?
We made it possible and now you are able to FISH-EAT-VIEW from inside our fabled ice fishing cabins. The 1st and only Northern Lights Viewing through panorama windows while ice fishing in Alaska!
Northern lights viewing and ice fishing, two winter activities in combination you may only experience with us in Fairbanks! You certainly should not miss out on this very unique opportunity that we can offer.
Our tour will serve the best of both, great ice fishing and northern lights viewing from within our luxurious cabins on Chena lake with big panoramic windows to view the Aurora, all while fishing and eating a delicious fish dinner.
You are away from the city light obstructions and at Chena Lake you are in one of the prime Northern Lights viewing locations in Interior Alaska. This special tour is ideal to add diversity to your northern lights viewing experience, and the memories you will share for a life time! A wood fired stove will keep you toasty warm (75F-85F; +25ºC) inside our custom wooden cabins. The cabins are solar powered and underwater camera equipped.
During the tour your guide will cut fishing holes through the ice, instruct you on traditional ice fishing techniques, process the catch, and cook it inside our cabin into a delicious fish dinner with sides such as gourmet potatoes, and fresh salad. When the Aurora shows itself on a clear sub-arctic night you will be able to go take a break from fishing, go outside, and observe or capture this phenomenon with your camera. You can also view the lights from inside the cabins. Your guide is happy to assist you with their knowledge about the Aurora.
This ice fishing tour will offer plenty of ice fishing through up to 4 feet of ice, pristine wilderness, and plenty of fun for any age, and skill levels from beginner to expert! (2 pers. minimum to book online or call if you are single).
* ATTENTION * The Aurora Borealis/Northern Lights is a natural phenomenon and cannot be guaranteed. There is no refund if the Aurora Borealis/Northern Lights do not appear.
